Our classrooms are well designed, beautiful, rich environments in which to foster the natural abilities of each child to learn and grow. Children select work from a variety of self-correcting materials displayed on open shelves. Over a period of time children develop into a community, working with high levels of concentration and few interruptions. This process occurs with repeated work materials that captivate each child’s attention.

Montessori Minds is guided by the observations of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our program is based on the belief that during the first six years of life, children should develop through purposeful work in an environment that allows intellectual freedom and exploration. The child’s mind will never again be as absorbent as it is from birth to age 6. As children strive to attain their full potential, they develop aptitudes and confidence that will serve them throughout their lives.

We offer a well-balanced early childhood education using the Montessori method of teaching which provides for the whole development of the child, while respecting their emotional, spiritual, intellectual and moral development.

Our students are given an opportunity to work cooperatively in a mixed age group setting where values, respect and independence are cultivated. Children will learn to concentrate, self-initiate, problem solve and organise themselves.

We value the fact that each child is unique and encourage and support each child’s natural curiosity.

Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to the words, but by the experience in the environment.
